Barcelona to Host First Game at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced finished work included a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
The club conducted a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to host the next European match facing Eintracht on 9 December at Camp Nou. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
